EHS Audit Protocol – Great Britain
Description
The Great Britain Audit Protocol for environmental, health and safety (EH&S) is organized around eighteen topics, with a separate module devoted to each. Record-keeping is included with each module.
The Great Britain audit protocol has been prepared to reflect the principal EH&S legislation that applies to facilities located in Great Britain.
The protocol includes the Introduction outlining how that country regulates Environmental, Health and Safety issues and discusses EHS management and liability for corporations. It also includes a Regulatory Summary of the legislative components covered in the protocol. Each of the topic modules begin with a summary description of the various regulations pertaining to that topic.
Applicability Tables, Pre-Audit Preparation requirements and Checklists, as a series of audit questions with Guide Notes for the auditor to verify compliance, form the body of the protocol and reference the legislation summary. Important clarifying information is also included in the accompanying tables or appendices within each topic module.
Two unique features, firstly the Audit Quick Check (AQC), allows for recording of audit findings and five different sort options to facilitate reporting from the MS Word® version and secondly, Xcelerator®, STP’s recently released Excel®-based tool, allows auditors to rapidly collect, share, archive and export audit findings in one document, assign compliance scores for each audit question, and generate at-a-glance corrective action reports.
In addition this country-specific protocol is available through risk management systems.
